Saturday night hospital update

Kandice had several more tests today, and we got some direction from her doctor on when Kandice might be able to go home. Unfortunately it looks like Kandice will be at the hospital until the twins arrive, whether that's tomorrow or in two weeks. Her blood pressure is still too high and the doctors are worried that she could get worse very quickly, and they don't want her at home if that happens. They want her at the hospital until it's time to deliver the babies.

Given that Kandice will be at the hospital for a long time, she's really trying to think of some projects/hobbies that she can take up to pass the time. The hospital activity group brought her a needlepoint to do, but she (at first) laughed that off. Now given she has several hours to fill, she may be a needlepoint expert before the babies arrive. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment or send an email! She needs ideas!

Today Iowa had a home game so traffic was crazy around the hospital. Jeff ran home to do some chores around the house (and get Kandice more supplies since she'll be at the hospital more than just a few days). It was a litle tough getting back to the hospital since they close roads around around the hospital and stadium to control traffic.

Tomorrow the Patriots play the Kansas City Chiefs. Luckily the local CBS station is showing the game. I hate to think what will happen next Sunday if they don't show the Patriots. I think Kandice will ask the hospital to install a Direct TV satellite dish outside her room's window.
