Kason and Kamryn both had a good first night. They are in the neonatal intensive care unit, which is only about a 60 second walk from Kandice's room. I checked them at 9pm, 2am, 6am, and again at 10am. Each time they were either sleeping peacefully or just awake looking around a little. They both got a bath during the night. I talked to their doctor this morning for the first time, and he is happy with their progress. They said that Kason would get his nose-oxygen removed today since he is breathing fine and getting plenty of oxygen.
They are getting great care and I'm happy we're at this hospital. The neonatal intensive care area has 70 beds, it's amazing to see them treat so many infants at once.
Kandice didn't have a very restful night since they checked on her frequently. This morning she is very tired and is trying to sleep. I know she can't wait to go see the babies. She will be able to get out of bed at 4pm. That will also be her first chance to eat since Saturday morning.
