Enjoyed the nice weekend weather. Am wondering how long this can last. On Saturday we headed to Moline, Illinois. We had a spaghetti lunch at Johnny's Italian Restaurant (Kaelen needed her carbs). Then Kaelen ran a micro marathon- a quarter mile which is her longest distance yet. She was all smiles and said she was running hard. She has been asking us if she could run a race which makes mommy very happy. Kamryn and Kason can't wait to join in next year. After, the race we checked out the tractors at the John Deere Commons. When we got there Kaelen said, "This is John Deere." We were impressed as we did not know she knew that. Made it home in time for church and Kidzone. So far so good with all the kids in their classes.
Went for a long run this morning-20 miles. Then we fired up our Direct TV NFL Sunday Ticket and watched the first three quarters of the Patriots win. Kaelen has become really into watching the Patriots and even tries a few linebacker moves on daddy. She is also a great cheerleader. When Jeff and I went to the Patriots game we got each of the kids a jersey. Kaelen loves her Tom Brady Jersey and has now worn it three days in a row. Don't worry I do wash it at night. Later this afternoon we met Grandma and Grandpa Halstead in Iowa City, visited nephew-cousin Zach, and all went to the Brown Bottle Restaurant for dinner. It was Zach's choice and he make an excellent one as we really like eating there. Jeff is excited about the apple pie my mom brought for him. Her apple pies are amazing!
