Nice to have a week where Jeff and I are both home so we can get back to "normal" whatever that means. Jeff and I have both been to Texas on separate work trips in the last two weeks. Jeff was in Dallas last week for work doing market research which I know he really enjoys. We were all happy when he got home. I do think I had the biggest smile on my face though!
Kaelen is fully enjoying preschool and is constantly learning. She can spell her first name, recognize the letters, and knows her address. She works on writing her name everyday also. She is also working on learning to spell Tjebkes which is a challenge for most big people. She is enjoying dance lessons- ballet and tap and LOVES swim lessons.
Kamryn and Kason are getting more mobile all the time. Kamryn walks behind her shopping cart now (watch the video). Their favorite entertainment is big sister Kaelen. This morning Kaelen was doing the inch worm for them and they were just laughing and laughing. They are both well transitioning to sippy cups so our bottle days are numbered. Yeah! They both love to climb into and over everything in site. Much of this weekend they spent climbing up and down their indoor picnic table and in and out of their car without every getting tired.
Saturday we went out in the snow (yes, I said snow) to the pumpkin patch. Grandma and Grandpa Halstead went with us. We bundled up and went on a 30 minute hay rack ride, saw goats and picked out pumpkins. Kaelen did not mind the cold and wind one bit. Kason was all smiles and Kamryn in her typical fashion fell asleep during the hay rack ride. She helped keep me extra warm though. Saturday night we went to church and the kids went to Kidzone. Kaelen is having a good time at Kidzone. On the way home from church she told us that "God made the moon" so she is learning there.
Sunday we stuck around home and stayed warm (after my morning long run, of course). We- all five of us- watched the Patriots Game. Not the outcome we wanted. I am not a very emotional person except when I watch Patriots Football. After the game, Kaelen came up to me and said "Mommy, it will really be okay, it will." What a sweetie!
