Kamryn and Kason had their one year doctor appointments this past week. They're doing great!
Kamryn is 19 lb 12 oz and 28-1/2" long. Kason is 20 lb 2 oz and 28-3/4" long.
Both of them had three shots including their first flu shot (not H1N1, just the "regular" flu). They have go to back in 4 weeks for the second flu shot dose. Then they will also get the H1N1 shot when it's available.
Kaelen will also get her flu shot in about a month. That should be interesting. Perhaps Jeff will get his at the same appointment to make her feel better about it.... Maybe...
Last Thursday was Grandparent's Day at the kids' day care. My parents and Jeff's parents enjoyed time with all the kids and they had frosted graham crackers with Kaelen. The grandparents also got to take home a craft project that Kaelen made. She told us she really enjoyed have 2 grandmas and 2 grandpas there.
Kamryn and Kason also started swimming lessons this past week. Both of them really loved it. The swimming lesson teacher was new, and she certainly didn't start slow. In Kaelen's class we started each lesson with "Wheels on the Bus" and other songs. This teacher said "Ok, why don't we try dunking them all the way under!" We did it with both Kamryn and Kason, both of them didn't seem to mind it! I think they're ready for the next class!
We celebrated our 8th anniversary on 09/08 and decided to take a trip this year. We're in Foxboro, MA and will attend the Monday Night football game, New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills. Our last trip to a New England game was in 2005 right after we found out that I was pregnant with Kaelen. I remember going to Borders here and buying a bunch of "What to Expect" books about pregnancy and the first year of a baby's life. Now I could write one, ha!
