Last Monday and Tuesday I went to Des Moines for work. Took advantage of a rare night all to myself and had dinner at PF Changs and did some shopping at Jordan Creek Mall. Thursday night, Jeff and I attended his 15 year recognition dinner at Allsteel. Wow! Has it been 15 years already?
Saturday morning, we took Kamryn and Kason for their H1N1 shots. We got there 45 minutes before they opened and there was already a line. Glad we got there when we did though as when we left the line was at least a block long. Kaelen got the nasal H1N1 version last weekend. So that makes us feel better now that all three kids have received their first dose. In thirty days, they will get their second dose.
We carved pumpkins Saturday afternoon with Kaelen drawing the jack-o-latern she wanted all by herself. Then we headed out trick or treating with our spider (Kaelen), ladybug (Kamryn), and hotdog (Kason). We did our street, Kevin and Monica's neighborhood, and a few other places in between. Kaelen did her scary spider growl- "ARRR" at several houses.
Sunday the family went to Davenport for lunch at Red Robin and to pick up a few items at Target. It was the Patriots bye week so no football to watch. Kaelen told me that it made her very sad that Tom Brady was on vacation this week. I think she really does enjoy watching the games!
