End of a nice weekend

We had an enjoyable weekend after a long week of work for both of us. On Saturday morning Jeff and Kaelen went down to the farmer's market to get (of course) baked goods from one of the church groups that is there. Good stuff, as usual. We spent most of the morning and early afternoon at home. Kason and Kamryn are both crawling around better now. Kason is a "knee crawler" and Kamryn is a "tummy crawler." Both get around really well now which has made time at home a little more of a challenge.

Jeff had a short meeting at work Saturday afternoon, then we all went to a picnic at Wildcat Den State Park. It was hosted by Riverside Animal Hospital where Zip and Dom get their vet care. People were encouraged to bring their dogs, and Kaelen really liked seeing all of the different dog breeds. She said we need to get TWO golden retrievers. They did this activity with all of the dogs doing something like musical chairs. Kaelen thought it was a riot, Jeff should have taken a video because it was pretty funny. We also should have taken Zip, that would have mixed things up a bit.

After the picnic Kamryn and I went over to a pool party hosted by Terry and Vikki Curry. Terry is one of my running partners. We stayed for about an hour and Kamryn got a ton of attention and she loved every minute of it. Jeff stayed home with Kaelen and Kason washing off all of the previously accumulated dog slobber.

Sunday before lunch we had on the TV (somewhat rare outside of the NFL season) and the British Open was on. We were talking about Tiger Woods and Kaelen said, "No, Elephant Woods". Funny girl. Later on we took a nice walk around the neighborhood enjoying the cool July afternoon.

Jeff, Kaelen and Kason went to Fuller Park in the late afternoon (separate pic posted using the new Blackberry, getting used to the camera and video on it), then we finished the weekend at Culvers (as usual).

Kason likes to sit up on his knees now.

We took time for a quick walk around the neighborhood on Sunday. Nice day!

We convinced them to take one more pic with their hats.
