2 Month Check-up

We took Kamryn and Kason to the doctor today for their 2 month check-up. Both of them are doing great.

Kason is now heavier than Kamryn! He is 9 lbs 12 oz and 20-1/2". Kamryn is 9 lbs 4 oz and 20". Both are around the 50th percentile for their adjusted age (9 weeks old now , but 6 weeks premature their adjusted age is 3 weeks).

They also received their 2 month immunizations (3 shots each). Both of them were ticked off, but it didn't last too long. Both were sleeping by the time we walked to the car.

Kaelen also went to the doctor today. She's had a cold for about a week and her ear has been bothering her. Sure enough, she has an ear infection. This is frustrating since she has tubes, but it could be that both of the tubes have dislodged. She's about at the age when they expect them to fall out. We go back to the ENT specialist next month, so we'll discuss next steps with him. We hate to see Kaelen suffer through another cold season with constant ear infections. At least now she can tell us when her ears hurt.

Kaelen also got a flu shot today. Kandice and Kaelen drove to the doctor this morning, and Kaelen said "Don't Like!" when Kandice told her that they were going to the doctor. That's currently her favorite saying. But the shot didn't go too badly, as Kaelen was very interested in the cool band-aid that came as part of the deal.

Here are some new pics.

Here is Kamryn in one of Kaelen's 3 month outfits.

And here is Kaelen wearing it.

She looks SO BIG in this picture.

Jeff & Kandice,
I finally found a minute to catch up on your blog. Thank you for doing such a good job keeping up with it. It is great to be able to stay updated miles away with the twins progress and how big Kaelen is getting! Sorry, I haven't called, Kan, but definitely do not want to catch you at a bad time. I have been thinking of you guys and it seems like you are all adjusting well. I'll be home over Thanksgiving week...would love to stop by and see you all! Let me know your schedule. BUSY...I know!! love ya, Jodi
