Kaelen's Birthday & Minneapolis Vacation

Kaelen turned 5 on August 7!  We can hardly believe it!  She blesses our home with her joyful attitude.  We had a small family party at home and we'll celebrate all the kids' birthdays with a big get-together in early September.

We just returned from our summer vacation to Minneapolis.  Jeff's parents and cousin/nephew Nathan went with us to help with the kids and make everyone's time more enjoyable.  And we had a great time!   We visited the zoo, the Mall of America, Lake Minnetonka, Minnehaha Falls, and an indoor waterpark.  We all had fun and we came close to wearing out the kids!

It's really fast around the corners!

For Kaelen's birthday she got to pick out a doll from American Girl.
And then we had lunch there!
Kamryn also got to pick one for her birthday coming in September.

They served lemonade for the dolls.
Jeff couldn't figure out why they didn't serve water!

The whole group!

Dessert also for the dolls!

Fun with the Mall of America rides

Kaelen loves the swings

Much to our surprise Kason loved seeing Sponge Bob and Squidward

Hugs too!

All of the kids loved the Wonder Pets ride that dropped them fast

Nathan, Jeff and I went to a Twins game.  Target Field is super nice!

It was a beautiful night!

We were at the top and it was actually a little cool

And windy!

On Wednesday we rented a pontoon on Lake Minnetonka.  We really enjoyed it.
All of the kids wanted to drive the boat.

We ate at a nice outdoor restaurant right on the Lake

The kids liked to throw bread to the geese and some huge carp

Our cooler broke apart so Kam made a saw
