Had a nice Labor Day Weekend. Saturday, we got our family pictures taken at the park. It is nearly impossible to get all three kids to sit still and look at the camera at this stage in our family. Especially Kason, he takes off sprinting the other way when he sees the camera. After pictures, the kids enjoyed some play time at the park. It was a beautiful day! Kaelen and Jeff played outside most all afternoon until we all went up to Davenport for some shopping and supper at Red Robin.
The highlight of our Sunday was going to the Ringling Brothers' Circus in Moline, Illinois. Nephew/Cousin Nate went with us too. The kids loved it. I do not think Kamryn even moved the first hour. She was just taking it all in. Kason sat up in his chair like a big boy and clapped and yelled "Yeah!" the whole time with a huge smile on his face. He absolutely loved the elephants. Kaelen's favorites were the dogs and the zebras. You don't see zebras do tricks like that every day!
Today we celebrated Kamryn and Kason's second birthday which is tomorrow. They opened presents this morning and we had cake for them at lunch. It was so cute- we started eating the cake and Kaelen said "Wait, we have to sing!". Of course, she was right! This afternoon the kids went to Gma and Gpa Tjebkes' house so Jeff and I could get a few things done at home like touch up painting. No way we can ever get that completed with three kids running around. We also went to Lowe's to look at new washers. One of our current washers (yes we have two washers and two dryers) is barely working. Lowe's has been out to work on it several times with no success. It is only three years old and we got the extended warranty on it. Lowe's emailed us this week saying that they can't fix it so they will be sending us a gift card for what we paid for it- almost $1000. Yes, Lowe's is my new favorite store!

And Kason's smile says it all!
